Nanyang Polytechnic Students Site Visit

Students from the Social work Diploma course at Nanyang Polytechnic have a new module, "Working with Minority Groups" and together with their teacher, Ms Saraswathi, visited The T Project to learn more about the issues and challenges the transgender community faced in Singapore.

The  module provides students with an understanding of the social, economic (and policy-wise) reality of minority populations in our local context. It aims to sensitize students to the different needs and challenges of minority populations. Students will also be given opportunities to visit agencies which serve minority groups to be exposed to the cultures, norms and beliefs of these minority groups.
